Personal Data Processing Policy

1. General provisions

1. This Personal Data Processing Policy (the Policy) applies to all information on the website at https://rusnephrology.org (the Website) that Website users, the Website Administration, and the Website’s partners and counterparties may obtain about a User while the User uses the Website and its services, programs and products (the Services). By using the Website the User unconditionally accepts this Policy and the terms of processing of their personal information set out in it; if the User does not agree with these terms, the User must refrain from using the Services.
2. The User’s personal information means:
   1. Personal information that the User provides about themselves when filling in feedback forms, including the User’s personal data. Information required to provide the Services is specially marked. Other information is provided at the User’s discretion.
   2. Data transmitted automatically while the Services are used by means of the software installed on the User’s device, including the IP address, cookie information, information about the User’s browser (or other program used to access the Services), access time and the address of the requested page.
   3. This Policy applies only to the Website. The Website does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites that the User may visit by following links available on the Website, including in search results. Such websites may collect or request other personal information from the User and may perform other actions.
   4. As a rule, the Website does not verify the accuracy of the personal information provided by Users and does not check their legal capacity. However, the Website assumes that the User provides accurate and sufficient personal information in response to the questions in the registration form and keeps this information up to date.

2. Purposes of collecting and processing users’ personal information

1. The Website collects and stores only the personal data necessary to provide its services (to perform agreements and contracts with the User).
2. The Website may use the User’s personal information for the following purposes:
   1. identifying the party under agreements and contracts with the Website;
   2. providing personalised services to the User;
   3. communicating with the User, including sending notifications, requests and information related to the use of the Services and the provision of services, and processing the User’s requests and applications;
   4. improving the quality and usability of the services provided to the User and developing services;
   5. conducting statistical and other research based on anonymised data.

3. Conditions for processing the User’s personal information and transferring it to third parties

1. The Website stores Users’ personal information in accordance with the internal regulations of the specific services.
2. The confidentiality of the User’s personal information is maintained, except where the User voluntarily makes information about themselves publicly available to an unlimited number of persons. By using the Website, the User agrees that the personal information they post becomes publicly available.
3. The Website may transfer the User’s personal information to third parties in the following cases:
   1. the User has consented to such actions;
   2. the transfer is necessary for the User to use a particular Service or for a service to be provided to the User;
   3. the transfer is required by Russian or other applicable law under the procedure established by law;
   4. the transfer takes place as part of the sale or other transfer of the business (in whole or in part), and all obligations to comply with this Policy with respect to the personal information received pass to the acquirer;
   5. to protect the rights and legitimate interests of the Website or third parties where the User violates the User Agreement.
4. While the Website is used, the User’s personal data become available to other Users with the voluntary consent of the User who is the subject of such personal data. By accepting this Policy, the User agrees not to make claims against the Website Administration in this regard, given that the User provides their personal data as publicly available.
5. Users’ personal data are processed without time limit by any lawful means, including in personal data information systems with or without automation. When processing Users’ personal data, the Website and the Website Administration are guided by Federal Law No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data” of 27 July 2006.

4. Rights and obligations of the parties, liability

1. The User may at any time change (update, supplement) the personal information they have provided, or any part of it, as well as its privacy settings.
2. The Website Administration takes the necessary and sufficient organisational and technical measures to protect the User’s personal information from unauthorised or accidental access, destruction, modification, blocking, copying and distribution, and from other unlawful actions of third parties.
3. The Website Administration may amend this Policy. The current version states the date of the last update. A new version of the Policy takes effect when it is published, unless the new version provides otherwise.
4. The Website Administration is not responsible for the dissemination of personal data or information containing them if such personal data were posted on the Website by the User as publicly available in the manner provided for in clause 3.4 of this Policy.
